On March 29, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, during a working visit to the Sughd Region, commissioned the administrative building of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Sughd Region in the city of Khujand.
The building was constructed by the “Somoni Istiqlol” construction company in honor of the great national celebration — the 35th anniversary of State Independence.
The commissioning of this facility is regarded in the country’s economic and social life as a significant step toward the development of entrepreneurship, the expansion of economic ties, and the improvement of the investment climate. With the opening of the building, 30 local residents have been provided with permanent jobs.
During the visit, the Leader of the Nation, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, emphasized that employees must work with a high sense of responsibility, professional dedication, and patriotism. Among the key tasks highlighted were improving professional knowledge, mastering advanced global experience, and utilizing modern technologies.
It was also noted that services for entrepreneurs must be transparent, high-quality, and timely.
Employees are expected to strive to create a favorable environment for the development of entrepreneurship and the attraction of foreign investors.
The new building has been constructed in accordance with modern requirements. It houses two main departments — the Department of Expertise and Certification and the Department of Foreign Economic Relations. Each is equipped with advanced technology and provides entrepreneurs with broad opportunities for high-quality services.
The upper floors of the building include a spacious assembly hall, management offices, and auxiliary premises. The conference hall is equipped with modern audiovisual systems, enabling the organization of high-level meetings, international forums, and business events under optimal conditions. The working areas are also fully equipped to ensure effective performance by staff.
The courtyard of the building has also been designed in a modern style. It is fully landscaped, with decorative trees and flowers creating a pleasant environment for relaxation. In addition, parking facilities and other auxiliary structures have been built for official transport.
The opening of such an important economic facility reflects the continued attention of the country’s top leadership to the development of the private sector and the support of entrepreneurship. The Chamber of Commerce and Industry, as a key institution, plays a vital role in expanding economic cooperation. It makes a significant contribution to strengthening trade relations between domestic entrepreneurs and foreign partners, attracting investment, and promoting exports of domestic products.
On the same day, the Head of State, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, also remotely commissioned a number of social and industrial facilities.
The diagnostic and treatment center “Neuramed” was built by local entrepreneur Ilkhomi Tojiboy and has a capacity of 64 beds. The introduction of modern equipment enables patients to receive high-quality medical services.
The new poultry meat processing and semi-finished products production workshop “Daleron” has a capacity to process 120 tons of chicken meat, producing 10 different types of products.
The production enterprise “Shirinihoi Anas” was built on the initiative of domestic entrepreneur Ganizoda Daler, with a total area of 600 square meters. Its production capacity exceeds 4 tons per month, with an annual output of 40 tons.
