At the festive Nowruz table — the symbol of the earth’s spring,
Let there be seven “S” or seven young shoots —
So that the garden of seven climates never fades,
So that the garden of life forever blooms and perfumes.
At these joyful moments, when in independent Tajikistan the New Year of our ancestors — the blessed Nowruz — has arrived, I sincerely congratulate all of you, dear compatriots and farmers, on this bright and ancient holiday.
Our Nowruz — the heritage of the crowned Tajiks — as a cultural treasure of all humanity, is celebrated annually with special brilliance and grandeur in countries that respect history and culture.
It should be noted that the Nowruz holiday is an important factor in the unity and cohesion of the peoples of the world, and it vividly demonstrates on the international stage the ancient civilization of the Tajik people.
Thanks to the continuous efforts of the Founder of Peace and National Unity — the Leader of the Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, esteemed Emomali Rahmon — one of our oldest traditional holidays, the blessed Nowruz, was included in the cultural heritage of humanity, and now this great festival with a seven-thousand-year history is solemnly celebrated worldwide.
Nowruz is truly a living, natural holiday, the arrival of which symbolizes the renewal of the world, the awakening of nature, and the revival of all living things.
Nowruz is the herald of spring, the bride of the year, a time of joy, merriment, the rebirth of nature and life, the earth and the universe. Above all, it is a holiday of farmers, for it marks the awakening of nature, the beginning of the field work season, and the renewal of humanity’s connection with nature.
Before the arrival of Nowruz, agricultural work has already begun in the sunny corners of our country.
In accordance with the good traditions of Nowruz, with the arrival of spring, a season of field and improvement works begins in every home of the Tajik people: trees and flowers are planted, canals are cleaned, homes are put in order, streets are decorated, giving towns and villages a festive appearance.
Today, as nature has awakened and the new season of field work has started, we can confidently say that our farmers, with sincere labor and dedication, continue their efforts to expand sowing areas, develop orchards, and increase production to ensure the country’s food security.
From last Nowruz to the present, many successes have been achieved in various sectors. In particular, agricultural production volumes have grown, and the export of fruits and vegetables has increased.
Scientists of the Academy, on the eve of this beautiful spring, provide farmers with continuous consulting and practical assistance in timely sowing and adherence to cultivation technologies, thus making a significant contribution to increasing yields and ensuring the country’s food security.
We hope that this year’s spring and Nowruz will bring joy, happiness, abundance, and new successes to our land, especially for the hardworking people of agriculture.
Once again, I sincerely congratulate all of you on the arrival of the International Nowruz holiday!
