On January 14, 2025, an extended meeting of the Board of the Academy of Agricultural Sciences of Tajikistan was held, attended by leaders and staff of scientific institutions, the central apparatus of the Academy, and representatives of the media. The meeting was dedicated to discussing the Address of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, to the Supreme Assembly of the Republic of Tajikistan titled “On the Main Directions of Domestic and Foreign Policy of the Republic,” delivered on December 28, 2024.
The event was opened by the President of the Academy of Agricultural Sciences of Tajikistan, Salimzoda Amonullo Fayzullo, who noted that agriculture and ensuring the country’s food security have always been under the special attention of the Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon. This year, the Address of the Founder of Peace and National Unity – the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, focuses on measures aimed at preserving peace and stability, developing science and education, healthcare and culture, security, national unity, protecting state independence, improving the social welfare of the population, safeguarding human and civil rights and freedoms, as well as enhancing the country’s international prestige and authority.
Next, the Vice-President of the Academy, Amirshozoda Fayzullo, spoke about the development directions of agriculture and the head of state’s attention to this sector, including issues related to salary increases. Jalil Safar, Director of the Institute of Economics and System Studies of Agricultural Development, presented a report on the advancement of the digital economy. The Head of the Department of Science, Education, and Training of Scientific Personnel, Shuhrat Jumaev, discussed directions in science and education, while the Academy’s lawyer, Umar Kholzoda, highlighted the political aspects of the Address.
