Victory Day is an important and truly historic and fateful date for all peoples of the world, including the people of Tajikistan. In honor of this, on May 7 of this year, a ceremonial meeting was held at the Academy of Agricultural Sciences of Tajikistan dedicated to the 79th anniversary of Victory Day in the Great Patriotic War of 1941–1945.
The President of the Academy, Salimzoda Amonullo Fayzullo, opened the meeting and in his speech noted that alongside the frontline fighters of this bloody war, hundreds of thousands of patriotic and courageous sons of Tajikistan showed unprecedented heroism and bravery, with tens of thousands of them sacrificing their lives to protect the future peaceful life of humanity. Many Tajik citizens were awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union, as well as various orders and medals.
The feat of those great people who defended the Motherland and the nation in 1941–1945 will never be forgotten by this civilized people.
With this heartfelt thought, the President of the Academy, Salimzoda Amonullo Fayzullo, once again congratulated those present on Victory Day, wishing them health and a peaceful, happy life.
