On September 7, a festive event dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan was held at the Antimonopoly Agency under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan under the title "35 Years of Achievements and Successes of Tajikistan". The event was attended by the Agency's management, staff, and industry activists.
Speakers at the meeting noted that over the years of independence, Tajikistan, as an independent state, has pursued its own foreign policy and put forward international initiatives on water, water resources, glaciers, and other critical global issues. For a country that embarked on the path of independence just 35 years ago, this is evidence that today Tajikistan not only resolves its internal issues but also expresses its position in discussing transboundary matters.
Of course, 35 years do not consist solely of achievements. As the Leader of the Nation has repeatedly noted, every state faces challenges on its path of development. Tajikistan also has important tasks ahead: improving the living standards of the population, creating new jobs, developing production, improving the quality of education and healthcare, utilizing new technologies, and preparing knowledgeable and skilled young professionals.
However, the difference between today's Tajikistan and the Tajikistan that stepped onto the path of independence in 1991 is clear. Back then, the state had to, first of all, preserve itself. Today, the goal is to build a bright, competitive, and prosperous future for the country. Therefore, celebrating the 35th anniversary of Tajikistan's State Independence should not merely be a celebration of the past. It should compel us to look at the value of national statehood from a fresh perspective, because peace and stability never emerge on their own—they are the result of bitter historical experience, wisdom, patience, and social responsibility.
At the end of the event, the management presented certificates of honor and letters of appreciation to a number of active and experienced employees.
