On July 20–21, 2026, during the state visit of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, to the city of Ulaanbaatar, the inaugural meeting of the Tajikistan-Mongolia Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation, the Tajikistan-Mongolia Business Forum, and the Days of Culture of Tajikistan in Mongolia were held at a high organizational level.
Following the high-level talks and negotiations between the Republic of Tajikistan and Mongolia, a ceremony for signing new cooperation documents took place. Within the framework of this event, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Food Safety Committee under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry of Mongolia on cooperation in the field of plant quarantine and protection.
