In order to ensure the implementation of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan dated March 6, 2026, No. 1145 "On the Action Plan for the National Anti-Corruption Strategy of the Republic of Tajikistan for the period until 2030 (Second Phase: 2026-2030)", a scientific and educational training session was held on April 16, 2026, at the Food Safety Committee Administration building in the Sughd Region.
The meeting was attended by the staff of the Sughd Regional Food Safety Administration and the Food Safety Centers of Khujand, Guliston, B. Gafurov, Devashtich, Zafarobod, Istaravshan, Spitamen, J. Rasulov, and Mastchoh.
Mr. S.N. Sharipov, the legal counsel of the Administration, delivered a speech explaining the key objectives of the National Anti-Corruption Strategy. It was emphasized that in the context of rapid global development, combating corruption is a priority of Tajikistan's state policy. Countering this phenomenon is not only the duty of state authorities but also the civic mission of every resident of the country.
Corruption was described as a "virus" that obstructs socio-economic development, violates human rights, weakens state institutions, and erodes public trust in the government. Thanks to the constructive initiatives of the Leader of the Nation, President Emomali Rahmon, the necessary frameworks have been established to ensure the active participation of all branches of power and civil society in this struggle.
During the session, discussions also covered increasing political and legal awareness, reducing superstition, educating youth in the spirit of patriotism and national identity, preventing the involvement of young people in extremist or terrorist movements, and the proper use of social media.
A key highlight was the transition to a "cashless system." To eliminate direct contact between officials and citizens—a major corruption risk—the Administration has implemented an electronic payment system for state services, following Presidential Decree No. 586 (June 22, 2023). Price lists and anti-corruption banners are prominently displayed at the entrance of the building to ensure transparency.
