On 21 November of this year, a ceremonial meeting dedicated to the Day of the State Flag of the Republic of Tajikistan was held at the Committee for Food Security under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, with the participation of employees of the central apparatus and subordinate structures of the Committee.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Rajabali Fatkhulloevich Jobirov, Candidate of Historical Sciences and Head of the Department of Science and Innovation of the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, who delivered a speech.
The Chairman of the Committee, Faizullozoda Muhammadsayyid Ubaidullo, opened the meeting and congratulated the audience on the Day of the State Flag of the Republic of Tajikistan. He noted that the national flag, as an important symbol of statehood, reflects the history and culture of the country, embodies the goals, aspirations, dreams and ideals of the Tajik people, and serves as a source of pride and honor for every conscious and patriotic citizen.
He further emphasized that the State Flag of independent Tajikistan was adopted on 24 November 1992 during the historic sixteenth session of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Tajikistan and, according to the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On Holidays” dated 11 November 2009, has since been celebrated annually as the “Day of the State Flag of the Republic of Tajikistan.”
Dr. Jobirov then delivered a speech on the history and origin of the flag, the viewpoints and opinions of foreign scholars regarding the flag and flag culture of the ancient Tajik nation, its legal values, and the historical path of the Tajik people in this regard.
At the conclusion of the event, the Chairman of the Committee, Faizullozoda M.U., once again congratulated all those present and the entire Tajik nation on the Day of the National Flag, wishing for the eternal flying of the State Flag of the Republic of Tajikistan.
