In April of this year, employees of the Institute of Plant Protection of the Tajik Academy of Agricultural Sciences, within the framework of cooperation agreements between the institution and dehkan and farming enterprises, conducted a working visit to several farms in Hisor District to carry out scientific observations on insect pests of agricultural crops.
Scientific observations were conducted in the “Ziroatkor” and “Zarnisor” farms, as well as in the state farm “Latif Murod”. At present, cereal crops are in good phytosanitary condition, and no diseases or harmful insects have been detected. However, due to continuous rainfall, the occurrence of diseases and pest insects is expected. Therefore, scientists from the Institute of Plant Protection provided scientifically based recommendations.
The following pesticides were recommended for use:
Metkiller — 0.3–0.5 l/ha;
Karat — 0.5 l/ha;
Fastak — 0.5–0.7 l/ha, against harmful insects;
and fungicides:
Skor — 0.25 kg/ha;
Folicur — 1–1.2 l/ha in 250–300 liters of working solution, against diseases of agricultural crops.
