On July 30, 2026, specialists from the Institute of Plant Protection of the Academy of Agricultural Sciences of Tajikistan conducted a working visit to farming enterprises in Hisor and Shahrinav districts within the framework of cooperation agreements with dehkan and private farms.
During the visit, the phytosanitary condition of orchards, vineyards, and vegetable production fields was assessed and analyzed.
At the Savzaali dehkan farm in Hisor, where apple, cherry, pear, peach orchards and vineyards are cultivated on an area of 10 hectares, the specialists found that the trees and vines were in good agronomic condition and producing high yields. These results reflect the effectiveness of the continuous cooperation between the farmers and the scientists of the Institute of Plant Protection, as well as the timely implementation of scientific recommendations on integrated plant protection.
According to the farm's records, the average yields were as follows:
Apples: 15–25 t/ha
Cherries: 8–12 t/ha
Peaches: 12–20 t/ha
Grapes: 10–18 t/ha
The specialists also visited the Hamza and Siddiq dehkan farms in Shahrinav District, where they assessed the phytosanitary status of vegetable and cotton crops. Monitoring of plant diseases and insect pests was carried out, and practical recommendations were provided on the timely application of agronomic measures and the implementation of integrated plant protection practices.
Such scientific and practical field visits contribute to increasing crop productivity, preventing the spread of plant diseases and insect pests, and strengthening the country's food security through the application of science-based agricultural practices.
