On June 19, 2025, the second Field Day was held at the National Center for Genetic Resources of AIKT under the theme:
“Application of Modern Cultivation Technologies for Oilseed Crops in the Rainfed Lands of Tajikistan.”
The event was attended by:
the President of the Tajik Academy of Agricultural Sciences,
Corresponding Member of AIKT, Salimzoda Amonullo Faizullo,
AIKT representative Behruz Kholov,
representatives of the Institute of Crop Production,
the Center for Agricultural Mechanization and Innovative Technologies,
the Sarikishti Rural Municipality (Jamoat) of Rudaki District,
dehkan (peasant) farms from Sino and Firdavsi districts of Dushanbe,
Rudaki District,
the city of Hisor,
as well as scientists and specialists from the Center.
The Field Day began with an opening speech by the President of the Tajik Academy of Agricultural Sciences,
Mr. Salimzoda Amonullo Faizullo.
Following the opening, experts and scientists delivered presentations on:
modern technologies for cultivating oilseed crops in rainfed (non-irrigated) lands,
the importance of growing oilseed crops such as flax and safflower,
characteristics of various sunflower crop varieties and lines,
and key methods of cultivation.
Participants’ questions were addressed with scientifically substantiated answers provided by the speakers.
