On June 30, 2026, a roundtable discussion was held in the institution’s conference hall with the participation of the leadership, scholars, researchers, and staff under the title: “The Adoption of the Special Resolution of the United Nations General Assembly Proclaiming 2027–2036 as the ‘International Decade for Strengthening Peace for Future Generations’ — Another Historic Achievement of the Preventive Diplomacy and Peace-Oriented Foreign Policy of the Republic of Tajikistan under the Leadership of the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon.”
During the event, participants conducted a comprehensive analysis of the political, legal, and international significance of the resolution. It was emphasized that its adoption by the United Nations General Assembly constitutes clear recognition by the international community of the constructive initiatives of the Republic of Tajikistan in promoting sustainable peace, advancing preventive diplomacy, and strengthening international cooperation. The participants noted that this significant achievement of Tajikistan’s foreign policy further enhances the country’s international standing and prestige while reinforcing its contribution to advancing the global agenda for peace, security, and sustainable development.
At the conclusion of the roundtable, it was emphasized that the practical implementation of the objectives of the “International Decade for Strengthening Peace for Future Generations” is of crucial importance for promoting a culture of peace, strengthening mutual understanding, fostering peaceful coexistence, and ensuring the sustainable development of the global community. It was further noted that supporting such international initiatives is an important responsibility of every patriotic citizen and the scientific community.
