With the aim of preventing and reducing drug addiction, promoting a healthy lifestyle, and implementing the National Drug Control Strategy of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2021–2030, on June 23, 2025, the Drug Control Agency under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan in Khatlon Region, in collaboration with the Department of Youth and Sports Affairs of Khatlon Region, organized a series of cultural, recreational, and sports events under the title “Caravan Against Drugs – 2025.”
The campaign was dedicated to June 26 – International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking.
As part of the event, a mini-football tournament was held in the assembly hall of the State Medical College of the city of Bokhtar, with participation from schoolchildren and students of secondary educational institutions of the city.
The opening ceremony was attended by and featured speeches from:
Fathiddinzoda Tojidin, Head of the Drug Control Agency Department for Khatlon Region,
Nasriddinzoda Ramazon, Head of the Youth and Sports Affairs Department of Bokhtar,
A representative of the executive authority of the city of Bokhtar.
The event began with a welcoming speech by the regional head of the Drug Control Agency, who spoke in detail about the serious threat that drugs pose to the life and health of young people. Following him, representatives of the regional Youth and Sports Department also emphasized the importance of prevention and engaging youth in active social and sports activities.
At the end of the football tournament, the winners were determined and awarded memorable gifts on behalf of the Drug Control Agency leadership.
The cultural and entertainment portion of the event included a concert program prepared by performers from the Department of Culture of the city of Bokhtar, which created a festive atmosphere and inspired participants.
