A scientific and practical conference on the topic “The role of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan in strengthening peace, unity and national development” was held at the Institute of Economics and Trade of Khujand. In the presence of the conference participants, Nabizoda Wahhab Mashrab, Professor of the Department of History of the Fatherland and Archaeology of the Academician Bobojon Gafurov TSU, made a substantive report on the topic “The XVI session of the Supreme Council - the beginning of peace and unity of the Tajiks.” Then Rasuljon Solidzhanov, Professor of the Department of Sociology at DIS TSTU, made a presentation on the topic “The XVI session of the Supreme Council and the creation of the national State of Tajikistan” and expressed his opinion on the role of the session in strengthening national statehood. The conference also heard reports from teachers of the Institute on the topics “The XVI session of the Supreme Council is an important historical event” and “global initiatives of the leader of the nation to address security issues.”
