As part of the working trip of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Leader of the Nation, respected Emomali Rahmon, to the Sughd region, a sports ground and a children's playground were put into operation in the city of Khujand. The opening ceremony of the facility was attended by Chairman of the Sughd region Rajabboy Ahmadzoda and a representative of the Government of the country, Minister of Health and Social Protection of the Population of the country Jamoliddin Abdullozoda. The new sports complex is located in the Friendship of Peoples mahalla, 33rd microdistrict, among high-rise buildings. The new facility was built on the initiative of the domestic entrepreneur Murodjon Obidov in accordance with the requirements of modern building regulations, and the length and width of the sports ground is 20 by 12 meters. There is also a children's playground measuring 18 by 17 meters with equipment for various games. The total area of the sports complex is more than 500 square meters. The head of the region and the Minister of Health presented gifts to children and teenagers and gave recommendations on attracting teenagers and young people to sports.
