Today, at the Agency for Statistics under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, National Unity Day was celebrated in a solemn ceremony attended by Deputy Director Zarina Nazarzoda, employees of the Central Office, and the State Institution “Central Accounting Center” of the Agency.
Zarina Nazarzoda began by conveying the congratulatory message from the Director of the Agency for Statistics to the participants and noted that on June 27, 1997, after lengthy negotiations aimed at preserving the country’s territorial integrity, ensuring peace and stability, national unity, and a peaceful life for the population, the General Agreement on Peace and National Accord in Tajikistan was signed. This agreement is one of the pivotal documents in the recent history of our people.
The difficulty of the path to achieving peace and national accord, as well as the selfless and patriotic service of the Founder of Peace and National Unity — the respected Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon — in freeing the country from the threat of destruction, was also emphasized.
The Deputy Director stressed that “on this significant day, every citizen of Tajikistan once again deeply realizes how precious and sacred national unity is for our people, and at this new stage, we must work more than ever with clean hands, good intentions, and a high creative spirit to achieve the strategic goals of Tajikistan.”
During the continuation of the event, several employees of the Central Office shared their views on the importance of national unity in the life of the country’s people and recited poems in honor of National Unity Day.
