On March 18, 2025, the first meeting of the interdepartmental working group on the development of the Action Plan for the "Green" Economic Development Strategy of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2023–2037 for the periods of 2026–2028 was held at the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, chaired by the First Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade, Solikhzoda A.A.
First Deputy Minister Solikhzoda A.A. noted that the goal of this Strategy is to implement institutional reforms, effectively use natural capital, attract investments, introduce modern and innovative technologies, and strengthen international cooperation in the field of "green" economy.
At the same time, it was emphasized that the "Green" Economic Development Strategy of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2023–2037 is divided into 5 stages, depending on the objectives and tasks outlined in its sections, including the first and second stages (2023–2025 and 2026–2028). These stages cover activities for disseminating information about the "green" economy, training and developing economic and environmental thinking, integrating the principles of "green" economy into legal acts, adhering to them in decision-making, and beginning the implementation of "green" economy standards in the socio-economic sectors of the country.
In this regard, it was proposed that the members of the working group, while preparing proposals for the Action Plan for 2026–2028, consider current global achievements, new trends in the development of the "green" economy, focused on innovation, digitalization, and the use of artificial intelligence, and align them with the country's goals and strategic priorities.
In light of this, the stages of developing and approving proposals were determined at the working group meeting.
