On October 5, 2026, as part of the working visit of the Founder of Peace and National Unity - Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Honorable Emomali Rahmon, to the city of Kulob, the customs checkpoint building and a vertical shaft in the FEZ "Kulob" were put into operation by the Minister of economic development and trade Abdurahmonzoda Abdurahmon Safarali and the Deputy Chairman of the Khatlon Region Solehzoda Ashurboy Abduvohid, with the aim of improving services and further developing the region's infrastructure.
It was reported that, upon the commissioning of the “Single Window” Service Center of the Administration of the Kulyob Free Economic Zone, other service-providing institutions, including representatives of authorized bodies responsible for taxation, migration, visa issuance, banks, and other areas that create favorable conditions for attracting domestic and foreign investment, will be provided with dedicated office spaces.
