On 20 July 2026, the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan held a press conference to implement the Order of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan No. AP-1729 of 15 September 2011, "On the Plan for Organizing and Conducting Press Conferences in Ministries and Agencies, Organizations and Institutions, Executive Bodies of State Authority of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region, the Regions, Dushanbe City, as well as Cities and Districts under Republican Subordination." The press conference was dedicated to the presentation of the results of the socio-economic development of the Republic of Tajikistan and the activities of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade during the first half of 2026.
The press conference was chaired by the Ministry's leadership and attended by a broad range of representatives from domestic and international media outlets, with more than 50 journalists participating.
At the beginning of the press conference, the Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan, Abdurahmonzoda Abdurahmon Safarali, delivered a comprehensive presentation on the socio-economic development of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Ministry's performance during the first half of 2026. In addition, press releases in Tajik and Russian were distributed to media representatives.
During the press conference, the Ministry's leadership answered journalists' questions on a wide range of issues related to the country's socio-economic development, including economic growth, the operation of free economic zones, the implementation of national strategies and state programmes, the development of artificial intelligence and the digital economy, foreign economic cooperation, and other areas of the Ministry's activities.
