Meeting of the Minister of Economic Development and Trade with the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Shaanxi Apple Group Co., Ltd. of the People's Republic of China

On 10 July 2026, the Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan, Abdurahmonzoda Abdurahmon Safarali, held a meeting with Mr. Yang Sixiong, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Shaanxi Apple Group Co., Ltd. of the People's Republic of China.

The meeting was held with the aim of implementing the Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the Agro-Industrial Sector between the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and Shaanxi Apple Group Co., Ltd., which was signed in Beijing on 11 May 2026.

During the meeting, Minister Abdurahmonzoda A. S. noted that, under the guidance and directives of the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, all necessary conditions have been created in the country for the establishment of orchards and vineyards. He emphasized that Tajikistan's favorable climatic conditions are particularly well suited for the cultivation of apple orchards.

The parties also discussed the establishment of manufacturing enterprises utilizing advanced modern technologies within the country's Free Economic Zones.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of Shaanxi Apple Group Co., Ltd. expressed strong interest in the proposals presented and reaffirmed the company's readiness to develop long-term cooperation, attract investment, introduce modern technologies for the establishment of apple orchards, and set up manufacturing enterprises in the Republic of Tajikistan.
