On 11 June 2026, the Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan, Nuriddinzoda Ahliddin Nuriddin, held a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Latvia to the Republic of Tajikistan (with residence in Tashkent), Girts Jaunzems.
During the meeting, the sides discussed issues related to the development of trade and economic cooperation, investment attraction, and ways to expand mutually beneficial relations. It was noted that the expansion of economic and trade cooperation could create favorable conditions for increasing bilateral trade turnover, implementing joint projects, and effectively utilizing the existing economic potential of the two countries.
At the end of the meeting, the parties expressed their interest in further expanding economic, trade, and investment cooperation, and confirmed their readiness to further develop bilateral relations and make effective use of existing opportunities for the benefit of both countries.
