On March 6, 2026, a ceremonial meeting dedicated to the significant occasion of Mother’s Day was held at the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan with the participation of the ministry’s leadership and employees of the central office.
The meeting was opened by the Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan, Abdurahmonzoda Abdurahmon Safarali, who in his congratulatory address emphasized that in the culture and civilization of the Tajik people, a woman—mother holds a particularly esteemed place as the source of life, a symbol of purity and beauty, the embodiment of love and kindness, and the foundation of a strong family and society.
It was also noted that, at the initiative of the Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, Mother’s Day has been declared an official state holiday. This initiative clearly reflects the high level of respect and recognition accorded by the state and the Government to the role and status of women and mothers in society.
At the conclusion of the event, the leadership of the ministry once again congratulated the women of the ministry, and through them all mothers, sisters, and daughters of the country on the occasion of Mother’s Day, wishing them good health, happiness, and continued success in their professional activities.
