On March 4, 2026, a meeting was held between the Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan, Abdurahmonzoda Abdurahmon Safarali, and a delegation of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB), led by Mr. Farid Khan, Country Operations Manager of the IsDB Group.
Abdurahmonzoda A. S. noted that under the leadership of the far-sighted policy of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, cooperation between the Republic of Tajikistan and the IsDB Group has reached a qualitatively new level in recent years.
During the meeting, various issues of effective cooperation between the Republic of Tajikistan and the IsDB Group were discussed, including cooperation in the fields of energy, transport and infrastructure, agriculture, education, as well as the implementation of ongoing IsDB projects in Tajikistan.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness to further expand mutually beneficial cooperation.
