On March 4, 2026, within the framework of the requirements of the Order of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan dated August 29, 2025, No. 72-f, and the schedule of presentations approved by the Order of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade dated October 17, 2025, No. 61, a presentation of the forecast indicators of socio-economic development of the cities of Rogun and Vahdat, as well as the districts of Fayzobod and Varzob for 2027 and their main parameters for 2028–2029 was held at the Ministry with the participation of representatives of the local executive bodies of state authority of the respective cities and districts.
The meeting was opened by the Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade, Vosidiyon Farhod Sadullo, who noted that the purpose of the meeting was to ensure the effective implementation of the instructions and directives of the Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, aimed at identifying new sources of development, improving the standard and quality of living of the population, ensuring food security, enhancing the efficient use of available opportunities and resources, commissioning new capacities, activating existing production capacities, and overall ensuring the sustainable development of the national economy.
It was also emphasized that, when preparing the forecast indicators of socio-economic development for 2027 and their main parameters for 2028–2029, due consideration should be given to the provisions of adopted state and sectoral concepts, strategies and programs, as well as regional socio-economic development programs of cities and districts.
Within this process, the First Deputy Chairman of the city of Rogun, Ismoilzoda A.; the First Deputy Chairman of Varzob district, Rajabzoda B.; the Deputy Chairman of the city of Vahdat, Gayurzoda N.; and the Deputy Chairman of Fayzobod district, Saidzoda Sh. presented the forecast indicators of socio-economic development for 2027 and their main parameters for 2028–2029.
Following the presentations, the proposed indicators were discussed, and relevant decisions were adopted as a result of the meeting.
According to the approved work plan, presentations of the forecast indicators of socio-economic development of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region, the regions, the city of Dushanbe, and other cities and districts will be held in March and April.
