On December 6, 2025, a meeting of the National Headquarters for the Implementation of Government Resolution No. 218 of March 28, 2025, "On the Timely Preparation of the Republic's Economic and Social Sectors for Regular and Effective Operations during the Autumn-Winter Period of 2025-2026," was held. The meeting addressed the winter preparedness of Dushanbe and the cities and districts of republican subordination.
The meeting was chaired by Usmonzoda Usmonali Yunusali, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan and Head of the Headquarters.
The meeting was attended by representatives of relevant ministries and agencies, members of the National Headquarters, as well as heads and senior officials of the executive bodies of state power in Dushanbe and the cities and districts of republican subordination.
To study the actual status of the implementation of this resolution, a Working Group consisting of representatives from the relevant ministries and agencies was established at the request of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan. This group also conducted a working visit to Dushanbe and cities and districts of republican subordination. The group reviewed the implementation of the aforementioned resolution and the readiness of the region's economic and social sectors for regular and effective operation during the 2025-2026 autumn-winter period, including in educational institutions, healthcare, culture, transportation, industrial enterprises, housing and utilities, consumer cooperatives, energy networks, and other facilities. The group submitted a corresponding report to the Government of the Republic.
During the meeting, reports were presented by the leadership of the executive bodies of state power in Dushanbe and cities and districts of republican subordination. During the discussion, existing shortcomings and problems in each city and district were noted, including funding for the purchase and storage of fuel, food supplies and de-icing materials, the readiness of energy facilities, and other issues.
Following the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan and Chief of Staff Usmonzoda Usmonali Yunusali issued specific instructions to relevant ministries and agencies, as well as the executive authorities of Dushanbe and cities and districts of republican subordination, regarding the implementation of plans to create necessary reserves and the timely preparation of economic and social sectors for regular and effective operation during the autumn-winter period of 2025-2026.
