Recently, audio recordings have been circulating on social networks and messaging platforms claiming that large fines have allegedly been established in the Republic of Tajikistan for sending and reposting messages such as “Juma Mubarak” and similar greetings.
The Committee on Religious Affairs and Regulation of National Traditions, Celebrations and Ceremonies under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan considers the dissemination of such materials to be provocative and informs that they have no factual basis.
