On August 28, 2026, the Tajik Agrarian University hosted a grand Republican Scientific and Theoretical Conference entitled:
“THE ACHIEVEMENTS OF THE REPUBLIC OF TAJIKISTAN DURING 35 YEARS OF STATE INDEPENDENCE”,
dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The Republican Conference was attended by representatives of state authorities, scholars and researchers, public officials, and specialists in the agricultural sector.
Among the participants and speakers were Hakimzoda Qurbon, Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Tajikistan; Amonullo Salimzoda, President of the Academy of Agricultural Sciences of Tajikistan; Mahmadyorzoda Usmon Mamur, Rector of the Tajik Agrarian University; Qoidodov Qozidavlat, a veteran of the agricultural sector, statesman, and politician; as well as Usmonzoda Khayriddin, Head of the Center for Strategic Studies under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The conference began with an opening address by the Rector of the Tajik Agrarian University, Mahmadyorzoda Usmon Mamur. In his speech, he emphasized the historical significance of State Independence, the achievements of the Republic of Tajikistan during the years of independence, and the important role of science and education in the development of the state and society.
The Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Tajikistan, Hakimzoda Qurbon, then delivered a speech on the historical significance of the 35th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan, highlighting the country’s achievements during the years of independence and the development of the agricultural sector.
Amonullo Salimzoda, President of the Academy of Agricultural Sciences of Tajikistan, congratulated the participants on the 35th anniversary of State Independence and spoke about the activities of the Academy of Agricultural Sciences of Tajikistan and the scientific achievements of agricultural scientists throughout the 35 years of independence.
His speech particularly emphasized the important support provided by the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan for the development of agricultural science and the activities of researchers. The issues of ensuring food security in the Republic of Tajikistan, promoting innovation, digitalizing agriculture, and identifying new directions for the development of the agricultural sector through 2030 were also analyzed and discussed.
Qozidavlat Qoidodov, a veteran of the agricultural sector, statesman, and politician, is recognized as one of the prominent political and public figures of Tajikistan. In the past, he served as a deputy of the Supreme Soviet and as Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan to Turkmenistan and the Republic of Belarus.
In his substantial address, he spoke about the path traversed by independent Tajikistan, the achievements of the state and the nation during 35 years of independence, and the outstanding contributions of devoted sons and daughters of the Motherland.
He recalled the early years of the country’s independence and the constructive and creative activities of the Leader of the Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, H.E. Emomali Rahmon. He also delivered meaningful and educational remarks on the historical role of the country’s leadership in strengthening peace and stability, national unity, and the development of independent Tajikistan.
Usmonzoda Khayriddin, Professor and Head of the Center for Strategic Studies under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, also delivered a speech with a strong sense of national pride on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of State Independence. He analyzed important strategic issues related to the development of the state, the country’s constructive policies, and the major achievements accomplished under the leadership of the nation.
It was emphasized in his speech that during the period from 1991 to 2026, the Republic of Tajikistan has travelled a glorious and proud path of state-building and nation-building and has today developed into a democratic, law-based, prosperous, beautiful, and steadily developing country.
We — the employees of the administration of the State Institution “Institute of Biological Security and Biotechnology” of the Academy of Agricultural Sciences of Tajikistan, under the leadership of the Institute’s Director, Doctor of Veterinary Sciences Abdullozoda Azizullo Odil, gained profound impressions and new perspectives from participating in this important historical event.
This Republican Conference has provided us, as members of the scientific community, with renewed inspiration and encourages us to continue dedicating all our knowledge, experience, and efforts to the development of national science, the advancement of the agricultural sector, the strengthening of biological and food security, and service to our Motherland, our people, and beloved Tajikistan.
At the conclusion of the conference, the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Tajikistan presented letters of appreciation and awards to a group of participants and distinguished representatives of the sector for their valuable contribution to the development of agriculture and their professional achievements, in connection with the 35th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan.
