Tajikistan is the Homeland of Nowruz!
On April 11 of this year, in front of the building of the S. Aini State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre, a large-scale cultural and entertainment program was organized by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tajikistan to celebrate the International Nowruz Holiday. The event was attended by the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Tajikistan, Sattoriyon Matlubakhon Amonzoda, leaders and staff of the ministry's structural units, writers, poets, and renowned artists of the country.
Before the start of the festive event, a folk art exhibition, artistic works, festive corners from the ministry's structural units, including the creations of creative masters, designers, and skilled chefs, were presented to the guests. In addition, samples of national art were showcased in general.
During the celebration, it was noted that it was thanks to the state’s independence and the constructive activities of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, the National Leader, the respected Emomali Rahmon, that we were able to introduce Nowruz to the international community — the day of the revival of life, the symbol of the first day of creation, hope, unity, and solidarity of humanity, a cultural monument, and the ancient civilization of the Tajik people, which brought the world the philosophy of life and existence.
It was also emphasized that after gaining independence, Nowruz has once again taken its rightful place as a national holiday and is celebrated with great enthusiasm worldwide. The revival of ancient Nowruz traditions and their proper promotion and advocacy both within the country and beyond its borders confirm that Tajikistan is the Homeland of Nowruz and the guardian of this honorable ancient tradition.
For significant contributions to the development of culture and national art, a number of employees from the cultural sphere were awarded with the "Excellence in Culture of the Republic of Tajikistan" badges, the "Excellence in Print of the Republic of Tajikistan" award, and gratitude certificates from the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tajikistan.
At the end of the event, talented artists from the country and creative groups from the ministry's structural units presented captivating cultural programs for the citizens of the capital and the guests of the city.
