December 4, 2024, Dushanbe. - Minister of Energy and Water Resources of the Republic of Tajikistan Daler Juma met with the Minister of Planning, Economic Development and International Cooperation of the Arab Republic of Egypt, as well as with the Co-chairman of the Tajik-Egyptian intergovernmental commission on Economic, Scientific and technical cooperation Rania Al-Mashat. Cooperation between Tajikistan and Egypt in the field of energy and water resources was discussed at the meeting. It was noted that in the context of climate change, it is important for Tajikistan to develop electricity production from renewable energy sources. The Egyptian delegation was invited to participate in the international conference on glacier protection, which will be held in Dushanbe in May 2025.
