October 03, 2024, Dushanbe. – First Deputy Minister of Energy and Water Resources of the Republic of Tajikistan Jamshed Shoimzoda met with Gerhard Seiler, Director General for Political Affairs of the Federal Ministry of European and International Affairs of Austria, at the Ministry building. During the conversation, a range of issues of cooperation between the countries in the field of energy and water resources was touched upon. It was noted that the Austrian companies Voith operate at the Rogun HPP and Andritz at the Nurek HPP. During the meeting, the parties expressed interest in the participation of Austrian companies in the construction of hydroelectric power plants in Tajikistan.
