With feelings of profound respect and patriotic pride, I sincerely congratulate all the noble people of Tajikistan on the occasion of National Unity Day — one of the most important and sacred holidays of the era of our country's independence.
National Unity Day is a fateful and historic date for every citizen of Tajikistan. This day symbolizes the victory of wisdom over ignorance, peace over conflict, construction over destruction, and national unity over fragmentation. It is inscribed in golden letters in the pages of the history of our modern statehood as a great historical achievement of the Tajik nation.
The signing of the General Agreement on the Establishment of Peace and National Accord twenty-nine years ago marked the beginning of a new stage in the development and progress of sovereign Tajikistan. This crucial historical event was realized precisely thanks to the far-sighted policy, strong will, selflessness, and tireless efforts of the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon.
During one of the most difficult periods in the country's history, the Leader of the Nation managed to guide the people toward peace, compromise, mutual understanding, and solidarity. Under the wise leadership of the Leader of the Nation, the foundations of national statehood were strengthened, and political peace, stability, national security, and social unity were ensured. Today, it is this unity and solidarity that form the basis for the sustainable economic, social, and cultural development of the country.
During the years of independence, Tajikistan, under the leadership of the Leader of the Nation, has not only succeeded in strengthening peace and stability within the country but has also earned a worthy position on the global stage as an initiator of important international issues and an advocate of peace diplomacy. Tajikistan's global initiatives in the field of water and climate, resolving environmental problems, strengthening international cooperation, and promoting a culture of peace have been supported by the international community, further raising the prestige and influence of our state internationally.
Today, the Republic of Tajikistan is recognized in international relations as a peace-loving, proactive, and constructive country. The state's successful diplomacy and balanced foreign policy have created a favorable foundation for strengthening friendship, cooperation, and trust among nations. All of this is a direct result of peace, national unity, and the wise policy of the country's top leadership.
In the complex and volatile conditions of the modern world, where various threats and challenges affect the security and stability of states, protecting peace and stability, strengthening national unity, and enhancing the sense of patriotism, self-awareness, and civic responsibility are the sacred duties of each of us. We must preserve this priceless blessing — national unity — as a supreme value and make our worthy contribution to strengthening the foundations of national statehood and the development of our beloved Tajikistan.
I am firmly convinced that the proud people of Tajikistan will continue to remain united around the constructive policy of the Leader of the Nation, striving to achieve the strategic goals of the state, strengthen the achievements of independence, advance the national economy, prosper the Motherland, and improve the standard and quality of life of the population.
