On the 10th of this year, in the hall of the Palace of Culture of Temurmalik District, with the participation of the Chairman of Temurmalik District, Hasanov Sherali Hasan, and other heads of organizations and institutions, a ceremonial gathering dedicated to Police Day was held.
At the festive meeting, the Chairman of Temurmalik District, Hasanov Sherali Hasan, delivered a speech, congratulating the police officers on this significant date. He emphasized that the police authorities are one of the major and influential law-enforcement structures which, from the first days of their establishment to the present, have served as a force ensuring public order, combating crime, and protecting the rights and freedoms of citizens. It was noted that during difficult historical periods of the country, the police passed serious tests and worked tirelessly to ensure peace and stability in society. The speaker underlined that the Government and the people of Tajikistan will never forget those who sacrificed their lives for the protection of security, peace, and stability.
The activities of the police in the territory of the Republic of Tajikistan have taken on specific characteristics over the years and have developed step by step. Today, the Tajik police—throughout their existence, including during the intense struggles for the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan, the restoration of constitutional order, ensuring public order, combating crime, neutralizing organized criminal groups and terrorist-extremist groups, as well as suppressing mass disturbances—have honorably passed the difficult tests of time and transformed into a reliable, powerful structure and a guarantor of the peace of the state and nation.
It was emphasized that today, with the support of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Tajikistan, the esteemed Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, the Ministry of Internal Affairs has become a strong law-enforcement entity, and all living and working conditions for its employees—including housing, land plots, modern equipment, medical services, education, and recreation—have been provided. To date, hundreds of active police officers have been awarded state decorations and other service incentives.
Additionally, several police officers, employees of power structures, and veterans of law enforcement were awarded Letters of Appreciation, Certificates of Honor, and monetary gifts.
At the end of the event, a concert program was presented by the district Palace of Culture to uplift the mood of the participants.
