On the second day of his working visit, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, respected Emomali Rahmon, inaugurated General Education Secondary School No. 89 in the village of Alijon, Pushing jamoat, Dangara District.
This educational institution was built with the support of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the participation of patriotic entrepreneurs and provides modern facilities for teaching and learning.
The new school is designed for 480 students in two shifts and includes 4 primary classes, 5 subject classrooms, 1 computer lab, 3 general classrooms, a teachers’ room, and a library, all equipped with modern teaching aids and visual materials.
The school library holds over 1,500 units of scientific and fiction literature, and students are provided with new textbooks.
Students of Secondary School No. 89 actively participate in national competitions, and in 2024, one of its students won first place in the republican stage of the “Knowledge Brings Light” competition.
It was noted that the school was constructed to facilitate access for students who previously had to travel about 2 kilometers over difficult terrain, especially challenging during the winter. Construction began in 2024 and was completed ahead of schedule with high quality.
To broaden students’ horizons and actively engage them in learning foreign languages, a foreign language classroom was opened, staffed with qualified teachers.
The school’s vocational workshops are equipped with the necessary tools and equipment. In particular:
The girls’ workshop has 8 sewing machines, and within the “Skilled Hands” club, girls are taught sewing, embroidery, beadwork, and cooking skills.
The boys’ workshop is equipped with tools for drilling, woodworking and metalworking, turning, and locksmith work, supporting students’ professional orientation.
The building is equipped with a central heating system, ensuring a comfortable temperature during the cold season.
During a meeting with the administration and teachers, respected Emomali Rahmon instructed them to effectively utilize the provided facilities, prioritize improving students’ academic knowledge, foster patriotism and respect for national values, prepare students for national and international Olympiads, and continue enhancing the quality of education.
The area around the building has been decorated with seasonal flowers, decorative and evergreen trees, and as part of the landscaping, the road from the school to the village’s main road has been asphalted.
