On November 11, 2024, an educational seminar was held in the executive body of state power of the Sughd region with the participation of the chairmen and secretaries of public commissions for the prevention of corruption under the executive bodies of state power of cities and districts. Davron Zohidzoda, Deputy Chairman of the Sughd region, Chairman of the Public Commission for the Prevention of Corruption under the executive authority of the Sughd region, and Colonel Justice Nigora Mukimi, Head of the Anti-Corruption Department of the Agency for State Financial Control and Anti-Corruption of the Republic of Tajikistan, spoke at the educational seminar. During the speech, it was emphasized that corruption in the modern world is one of the serious obstacles to the socio-economic development of countries, respect for human and civil rights and freedoms. In this regard, the issue of combating corruption is in the center of attention, the state anti-corruption strategy in the Republic of Tajikistan for the period up to 2030 is being adopted and implemented. The activities of the public commission for the prevention of corruption under the executive authority of the Sughd region are carried out on the basis of the departmental action plan for the implementation of the state anti-corruption strategy in the Republic of Tajikistan for the period up to 2030, measures are being taken to counteract these adverse phenomena of that time. It was noted that the educational seminar was organized on the initiative of the Agency for State Financial Control and Anti-Corruption of the Republic of Tajikistan in order to fulfill the requirements of paragraph 5 of paragraph 1 of this protocol assignment on the implementation of appropriate, effective and uniform activities of public commissions for the prevention of corruption under local executive bodies of state power of regions, cities and districts, as well as on the development of and approval of the standard work plan of public commissions for the prevention of corruption. As a result, proposals and proposals were made to further improve the activities of public commissions for the prevention of corruption under the executive bodies of state power of the Sughd region, executive bodies of state power of cities and districts. Responsible persons are instructed to carry out public control over the implementation of regulatory legal acts in the direction of combating corruption, the implementation of work plans of executive bodies of state power of regions, cities and districts, self-government bodies of towns and villages, explaining the essence of program acts of combating corruption among various segments of the population, holding meetings, seminars and conferences, round tables and other promotional events, aimed at strengthening the activities of public commissions.
