A large concert program of Kazakhstani artists took place at the Kamol Khujandi Theater in Khujand. On August 22, 2024, in the administrative center of the Sughd region – the city of Khujand, within the framework of the Days of Culture of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Republic of Tajikistan, a large concert was held with the participation of representatives of culture and art of the city of Shymkent. The festive program was opened by Deputy Chairman of the Sughd region Zainura Azimi with a welcoming speech. "We welcome our Kazakhstani guests to the ancient city of Khujand. Holding Days of Culture of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Republic of Tajikistan is a continuation of the reasonable policy of the heads of the two states. I am sure that holding a cultural event in Sughd region will contribute to strengthening cultural ties, as well as strengthening friendly relations between the fraternal peoples of Tajikistan and Kazakhstan. Welcome to Sogd, the oldest city of Khujand," he said. As a symbol of friendship and respect, a valuable gift was presented to the guests on behalf of the executive body of the state authority of the Sughd region. The symbol from the hands of the deputy chairman of the region was presented to the head of the Department of Culture, Language Development and Archives of the city of Shymkent, Boarjan Arantayev. After the official part, a brilliant and colorful program of performers of folk songs of Kazakhstan, dance groups and an orchestra of folk instruments was presented. The guests also performed Tajik songs and Tajik national dances, symbolizing friendship between the peoples of the two countries. The concert program of the Shymkent city art teachers, which lasted about 2 hours, was met with great enthusiasm and applause.
