In accordance with the instructions of the Chairman of the Sughd region, Rajabboy Akhmadzod, and the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic for the Batkent region, Abdikarim Alimbayev, on May 8, 2024, a meeting was held between representatives of border structures, forces and law enforcement agencies of the Sughd region and Batken region of the Republic of Tatarstan with the participation of Chairmen J. Rasul district of Sughd region and Leilek district of Batken region. Following the meeting, a joint statement was adopted for the media. During the meeting, the parties discussed the following issues: common causes of the incident between citizens and the border clothing of the parties. The behavior of border locals engaged in cattle breeding. Solutions to the problem of preventing border incidents on the state border of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan. A joint decision was made to organize work at the level of local authorities (between the akims of Kyrgyzstan and the heads of the administration of the Republic of Tatarstan) to strengthen awareness-raising work to prevent offenses in border areas and to fulfill the tasks set to maintain good-neighborly and kinship relations between local residents of the parties.
