Dear colleagues! Every year, on October 20, the World Statistics Day and the professional holiday of statisticians are celebrated in all countries of the world. Nowadays, statistical or accounting authorities in all countries are specialized government agencies, and specialists are constantly striving for sustainable development in this area. Because the collection of high-quality statistics is very important for analyzing the socio-economic, demographic, environmental and political-cultural situation in the country, making decisions about socio-economic development, investment climate and timely dissemination of reliable information, as well as for developing strategies and prospects. After gaining state independence in our country, along with all spheres of state power, the activity of collecting accurate and reliable statistics is expanding in an unprecedented way, and the state and the government pay special attention to this state institution, that is, the bodies of national statistics. The Agency for Statistics under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, as the authorized body for the implementation of state policy in the field of statistics, collects and distributes data in accordance with the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan "On State Statistics" dated January 12, 2010. Today, Tajikistan is pleased that national statistical indicators comply with international standards and are presented at the national and international levels. It should be noted that the timely summing up of the socio-economic development of the Republic of Tajikistan, the development and approval of relevant sectoral statistical materials, the publication of compilations of summary statistics, verification of the reliability of the first and final data, improvement of the methodology of statistical accounting, improvement of the methodology of statistical research, including surveys of households, households in the field of agriculture, etc. Today, these are the main tasks of statistical agencies. Dear colleagues! Being an employee of a statistical body means keeping the momentum of time and saving time. We have no moral right to negligence and must honestly perform our official duties to the state, the nation and society. I am sure that the high responsibility of each employee of the industry in the future will also contribute to the promotion of the work of the official statistical bodies of the country.
