On March 4, 2025, in accordance with the requirements of the Decree of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan dated October 1, 2024, No. 92-f, and the Presentation Plan approved by the Order of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade dated October 22, 2024, No. 58, a presentation of the prospective socio-economic development indicators for the cities of Rogun, Vahdat, and the districts of Faizabad and Varzob for 2026, as well as the main parameters for 2027-2028, was held at the ministry with the participation of representatives from the executive bodies of state power in these cities and districts.
The meeting was opened by Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade, Vosidiyon Farhod Saidullo, who noted that the purpose of the meeting was to effectively implement the instructions of the Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, esteemed Emomali Rahmon, in the search for new sources of growth, improving the standard and quality of life of the population, ensuring food security, efficiently utilizing existing opportunities and resources, as well as activating new and existing potentials and, overall, ensuring the economic development of the country.
It was also emphasized that when developing the prospective socio-economic indicators for 2026 and the main parameters for 2027-2028, the provisions of the adopted state and sectoral concepts, strategies, programs, and regional programs for socio-economic development of cities and districts should be taken into account. In this process, the First Deputy Chairperson of the Varzob District, Rajabzoda B., the Deputy Chairperson of the city of Rogun, Ismoilzoda A., the Deputy Chairperson of the city of Vahdat, Gayurzoda N., and the Deputy Chairperson of the Faizabad district, Saidzoda Sh., presented the socio-economic indicators for 2026 and the main parameters for 2027-2028.
After the presentation, the proposed indicators were discussed, and based on the results of the meeting, appropriate decisions were made.
According to the approved work plan, presentations of socio-economic indicators for the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region, regions, the city of Dushanbe, and other cities and districts will be held in March and April.
