On February 24, 2025, a departmental meeting was held at the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, initiated by the Commission on the Regulation of Holidays and Rituals of the Ministry. The meeting was attended by the leadership of the ministry, representatives of the Committee on Religious Affairs, Regulation of Traditions and Holidays under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, and staff of the ministry’s central office. The meeting addressed issues related to the implementation of the policies pursued by the Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, esteemed Emomali Rahmon, in the field of religion and the regulation of holidays and rituals in the country.
The meeting was opened by Deputy Minister Vosidiyon Farhod Sa'dullo, who, in his opening remarks, emphasized that each ministry employee is responsible for implementing the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan "On the Regulation of Holidays and Rituals in the Republic of Tajikistan," the Decree of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan dated April 4, 2018, No. 1042 "On the Concept of State Policy of the Republic of Tajikistan in the Field of Religion," as well as the key points from the President's speech, the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, esteemed Emomali Rahmon, during his meeting with the active members, representatives of society, and the clergy on March 9, 2024.
Vosidiyon F. S. highlighted that in the modern world, there are ongoing processes such as clashes of cultures and civilizations, religious and sectarian conflicts, and the unprecedented spread of terrorism and religious extremism, which have become tools of manipulation by various interested forces. He noted that if no measures are taken to contain these processes, their impact on society and the state would be serious.
Then, representatives of the Committee on Religious Affairs, Regulation of Traditions and Holidays under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, Kalandarov Burkhoniddin and Muslihiddin Khojamirov, held a discussion and explanatory session on the Concept of State Policy of the Republic of Tajikistan in the Field of Religion and the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan "On the Regulation of Traditions and Holidays in the Republic of Tajikistan."
