The President of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, warmly welcomed the distinguished guest, emphasizing that “the people of Tajikistan and Iran are connected through historical, cultural, and civilizational ties.”
During the talks, it was highlighted that “every year, the role of cooperation between the two countries in fostering an atmosphere of understanding, trust, and mutual respect between the two friendly and brotherly nations is growing.”
Satisfaction was expressed with the current state and content of the multifaceted relations between Tajikistan and Iran.
The negotiations covered a wide range of issues related to expanding bilateral cooperation in political, economic, and trade sectors, as well as investment, tourism, security, science, culture, healthcare, and other areas of mutual interest.
The expansion of cooperation in various industries was considered beneficial for both sides, including the processing of mineral resources, production of construction materials, food industry, pharmaceuticals, energy, agriculture, and the broad use of Tajikistan's free economic zones. The transportation and transit potential of Iran, particularly the Chabahar and Bandar Abbas ports, was also highlighted as advantageous for both countries.
