14 august 2026 a ceremonial meeting dedicated to the achievements of female inventors of the Republic of Tajikistan was held under the leadership of the Minister of Economic Development and Trade, Abdurahmonzoda Abdurahmon Safarali.
This event was organized to worthily celebrate the 35th anniversary of State Independence and on the occasion of the day of Inventors and Innovators of the Republic of Tajikistan, which is celebrated annually on the third sunday of August.
In his speech, the Minister of economic development and trade noted that thanks to the initiatives and constant support of the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, republican contests are held annually to develop human capital and a knowledge, invention, and innovation-based economy, as well as to identify talented individuals in the fields of invention and innovation. In recent years, the number of inventors in the country, especially women and female inventors, has increased significantly.
To this end, from July 16 to 18, 2026, the 19th Seoul International Invention Fair Women's International Invention Exhibition (KIWIE) was held in Seoul, Republic of Korea. From the Republic of Tajikistan, 11 female inventors participated in the event, winning 2 gold medals, 9 silver medals, and 1 special award.
