3 аugust 2026, the Minister of Economic Development and Trade, Abdurahmonzoda Abdurahmon Safarali, held a meeting with Takashi Nagaoka, Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific.
During the meeting, the parties discussed issues related to strengthening bilateral cooperation, developing human resource capacity, and Tajikistan's participation in the Japan-IMF Scholarship Program for Asia (JISPA).
The sides emphasized the importance of the JISPA program in training highly qualified specialists and strengthening the capacity of government agencies. They also deemed it necessary to expand experience sharing and develop cooperation in training qualified personnel in the fields of macroeconomic analysis, trade and investment policy, artificial intelligence, and the digital economy.
