On 1 July 2026, the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan held a meeting chaired by the Minister of Economic Development and Trade, Mr. Abdurahmonzoda Abdurahmon Safarali, with the participation of heads of the Ministry’s structural divisions, subordinate institutions, and staff members. The meeting was dedicated to the United Nations General Assembly Special Resolution entitled “International Decade for Strengthening Peace for Future Generations,” adopted at the initiative of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon.
Opening the meeting, Minister Abdurahmonzoda Abdurahmon Safarali congratulated the participants on the adoption of the Resolution and emphasized that its adoption constitutes yet another recognition of the Republic of Tajikistan’s significant contribution to advancing global peace initiatives and strengthening international cooperation.
It was noted that the adoption of this Resolution, initiated by the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, comes at a time when millions of civilians across different regions of the world continue to face security threats and the consequences of interstate armed conflicts.
The participants further emphasized that, owing to the humanitarian values, peace-oriented policy, and forward-looking initiatives of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, as well as the adoption of this Resolution, the Republic of Tajikistan has once again reaffirmed its standing as a peace-loving nation committed to promoting peace, stability, and international cooperation.
