On June 26, a ceremonial event dedicated to National Unity Day was held at the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan with the participation of the ministry’s leadership and staff.
The event began with the playing of the National Anthem of the Republic of Tajikistan. During the ceremony, Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade Nuriddinzoda Akhliddin Nuroddin warmly congratulated those present on the occasion of National Unity Day and noted that national unity is one of the most important achievements of the period of state independence of the Republic of Tajikistan, serving as a reliable foundation for ensuring peace and stability, strengthening statehood, and promoting the country’s sustainable development.
In his speech, the historical role of the Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon — in restoring peace and stability, strengthening national unity, and further developing the country was highlighted. It was emphasized that thanks to the consistent efforts of the Head of State, Tajikistan is now recognized on the international stage as a peace-loving and initiative-driven country.
Participants of the event were also congratulated on the adoption by the United Nations General Assembly of the resolution entitled “International Decade for Action on Building Peace for Future Generations (2027–2036),” which was adopted the day before on the initiative of the Republic of Tajikistan. It was noted that the adoption of this resolution is further evidence of the recognition of Tajikistan’s role in promoting global peace initiatives and strengthening international cooperation.
At the conclusion of the event, it was emphasized that the preservation and strengthening of national unity, respect for the values of independence, peace, stability, and mutual understanding are the sacred duty of every citizen of the country. Only in an atmosphere of unity and solidarity can the strategic goals of the socio-economic development of the Republic of Tajikistan be achieved.
