On 18 June 2026, in Baku, Republic of Azerbaijan, the delegation of the Republic of Tajikistan, headed by Abdurahmonzoda Abdurahmon Safarali, Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan and Governor of the Islamic Development Bank for the Republic of Tajikistan, participated in the official opening ceremony of the Annual Meetings of the Islamic Development Bank Group. The opening ceremony was attended by and featured addresses from the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilhom Aliyev, and the President of the Islamic Development Bank Group, Dr. Muhammad Sulaiman Al Jasser.
