On 17 June 2026, in Baku, Republic of Azerbaijan, on the sidelines of the Annual Meetings of the Islamic Development Bank, a meeting was held between the delegation of the Republic of Tajikistan, headed by the Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan, Abdurahmonzoda Abdurahmon Safarali, and Anasse Aissami, Director General of the Country Programs Department of the Islamic Development Bank.
During the meeting, the parties discussed ways to expedite the review of project proposals submitted by the Tajik side, as well as issues related to their financing.
In his remarks, Abdurahmonzoda A. S. noted that, owing to the support and constructive initiatives of the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, as well as the measures undertaken by the Government of the country, Tajikistan has entered a new stage of development. He further emphasized that the growth rate of the national economy reached 8.1 percent during the period of January–May of the current year.
