On May 26, 2026, a meeting was held at the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan between the Minister of Economic Development and Trade, Abdurahmonzoda Abdurahmon Safarali, and the Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations (UN) and Executive Secretary of the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific, Ms. Armida Salsiah Alisjahbana.
During the meeting, the parties discussed issues related to the simplification of cross-border paperless trade procedures, attraction of investments, digitalization of sectors, adaptation to climate change, and the development of a green economy.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness to further expand mutually beneficial cooperation and implement joint initiatives in various economic sectors.
