On April 29, 2026, a meeting was held at the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade between the Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan, Abdurahmonzoda Abdurahmon Safarali, and the Country Director of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) in Tajikistan, Nigina Abaszade.
During the meeting, the parties discussed issues related to strengthening cooperation in the development of human capital, improving demographic policy, and adapting the labor market to modern requirements.
Abdurahmonzoda A. S. noted that, within the framework of the Medium-Term Development Program of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2026–2030, special attention is paid to ensuring inclusive development, enhancing the quality of human capital, and aligning economic policy with socio-demographic processes.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness to continue mutually beneficial cooperation in priority areas.
