On 28 April 2026, a meeting was held at the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan between the Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan, Abdurahmonzoda Abdurahmon Safarali, and Mr. Bastian Heil, Portfolio Manager for the Health Sector at the German Development Bank (KfW).
The parties discussed the progress in the implementation of ongoing projects in the healthcare sector, as well as prospective initiatives in this area.
Abdurahmonzoda A. S. noted that the healthcare sector of the country is under the direct attention of the Founder of Peace and National Unity - Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon. In this regard, the effective implementation of healthcare projects contributes to improving the quality of medical services, strengthening sectoral infrastructure, and expanding public access to modern healthcare services.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties highly appreciated the progress achieved in the implementation of ongoing projects and expressed their readiness to further strengthen and expand cooperation, as well as to implement joint initiatives in the development of the healthcare sector.
