On March 19, 2026, the Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan, Abdurahmonzoda Abdurahmon Safarali, held a meeting with Ms. Beata Javorcik, Senior Economist at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state and prospects for the development of economic and financial cooperation between the Republic of Tajikistan and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
Abdurahmonzoda A. S. noted that the Republic of Tajikistan, under the wise leadership of the Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, has achieved significant results in ensuring macroeconomic stability, including sustained GDP growth, maintaining stable inflation, expanding employment, enhancing export potential, and advancing other key areas.
The representative of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development emphasized that, as a result of the consistent implementation of a comprehensive set of economic reforms, the Republic of Tajikistan has improved its position in international rankings of banking sector solvency, which contributes to strengthening the country’s investment attractiveness and attracting foreign investment.
In turn, Ms. Beata Javorcik expressed satisfaction with the level of bilateral cooperation with the Republic of Tajikistan and reaffirmed the readiness of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development to continue supporting ongoing economic reforms, promoting sustainable development, and implementing priority investment projects.
